Integrative Yin Practice : The Spring Transition
Sunday, May 4, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Spring is a time of transition. We move from the contracted, intuitive, and introspective qualities of winter to the expansive, rising qualities of spring. And in Southeast Wyoming, we experience spring one day at a time. This means we're making this transition over and over! It can disrupt the nervous system pretty quickly.
Join Jill Lovato of Blossom Yoga and Lacey Katzer of Ki Collective for a practice intended to balance and ground. Jill will lead you through a two-hour Yin practice featuring sound therapy, gentle breathwork, an extended Savasana, and guided spring meditation. During the practice, Lacey will offer reflexology to each participant while in Yin postures. This practice will feature sound therapy, including Tibetan bowls, chimes, and percussion.

Yin Yoga for the Summer Nervous System
Monthly on Tuesday evenings at 6:45 pm
June 24, July 29, and August 19
Jill Lovato, MS, E-RYT500 will lead you through this monthly Yin Yoga practice specifically aimed at discharging or elevating nervous energy and gently moving up the polyvagal ladder to a grounded and resilient body, mind, and spirit. Utilizing polyvagal theory, Ayurveda, and Yin Yoga, we will spend 75 minutes once/month to recognize where we are within our nervous system (numb, checked out, frustrated, irritable, stressed, anxious, chaotic) and move intentionally with the wisdom of Alchemical Taoism, Ayurveda, and modern neuroscience to release excess energy, move stuck or stagnant energy, and reset to a place of calm and clear.
This practice will consist primarily of Yin Yoga with some breathwork, guided visualization, and acupressure.
Investment: $60 for series

Breathe, Don't Breathe
Monthly on Friday mornings at 7:00
June 13, July 18, August 15
Breathe, Don’t Breath is an introductory class to breath control techniques from Yogic traditions and modern free diving. The course will allow students to learn how to begin controlling and strengthening their breath and all of their breathing muscles. They will learn how to extend the retention of the breath on both the inhale and the exhale. Free diving techniques will be taught on safely holding the breath underwater on both the inhale and the exhale without discomfort or stress. Yogic Tummo breathing and retention techniques will be taught to maximize breath retention out of the water on both the inhale and the exhale. The course includes a basic overview of the science of breathing and breath holding. Students will establish some baseline breath holds at the beginning of class. Then, there will be several optional homework assignments, tailored to the individual student’s baselines. The assignments can be done in five to fifteen minutes sessions a few times a week and will allow students to learn and improve their breath work and breath holding in between classes.
Along with getting an exceptional core work out, most students will be able to comfortably hold their breath for over two minutes on a full inhale, and for over forty-five seconds on a full exhale, at the end of the class. Students will also learn how to induce a calm state that can be used to deal with any stressful situation(s) in their life, like being deprived of air. Last, most students will leave the class breathing better and stronger and with more control over all dimensions of their breath.
Investment: $45 for 3-part series
