Yoga Teacher Training: 200 hour

200 hour yoga teacher training

200-hour Multi-Style Hatha Teacher Training is a holistic approach that goes beyond the physical and honors the wisdom of traditional yoga.

REGISTRATION is OPEN for 2024 - 2025 programs.

Overview

Blossom Yoga School's 200-hour Multi-Style Hatha Teacher Training is modeled after the eight limbs of yoga and offers an opportunity of integration of knowledge, experience, and practice into a lifestyle. By emphasizing teaching and practice, functional anatomy, and philosophy through a holistic approach that goes beyond the physical and honors the wisdom of traditional yoga, we prepare the student to take the seat of the teacher.

Dedicate yourself to a full practice, learning, and teaching immersion and put yourself on a path of dedication, of commitment, of lifestyle. Our intention is to cultivate a steady and balanced learning and practice environment by delivering 180+ contact hours with experienced and wholehearted yoga teachers.

Our program offers an immersion experience over 8 months. The training consists of in-person study, practice, and teaching and independent reading and writing assignments, as well as personal practice.

Alignment-based Hatha and Vinyasa styles are emphasized with introductions to yin and restorative practices. Please see the full syllabus HERE. This training is registered with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga School (RYS), and students who successfully complete the training are eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

The 8-month program consists of monthly weekend intensives, independent reading and writing assignments, and personal practice, giving the student time between weekend intensives for integration and application.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No! Many yogis embark on a yoga teacher training to deepen personal practice, expand knowledge, and/or advance personal growth.

  • Not at all. The only requirements are a keen interest in aligning the body, mind, and spirit; a willingness to let go of ego; and an open heart and mind.

  • Only students who successfully complete the training as determined by the trainers will be eligible for registration with the Yoga Alliance. Being present at training sessions, completing all homework assignments on time, and demonstrating competencies as determined by the trainers are definitely a part of successful completion. If a student foresees being absent or unable to complete an assignment on time, he or she should contact a trainer as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements. And certainly, a student gets out of the training what he or she puts into it. Active engagement during training weekends, participation in modules, and completion of assignments will enrich the experience!

  • Yes! We want to make the training accessible to a variety of budgets and financial situations. A payment plan of eleven (11) equal payments automatically deducted from your account can be arranged.

  • Most yogis prefer to provide their own mats when practicing frequently. The mat can become sacred space, an environment in which the yogi can fully explore and enjoy the practice. That said, we do have a small number of mats available to borrow. Blossom will also provide yoga props, such as blocks, blankets, bolsters, and straps. Of course, yogis are welcome to bring their own props, if they wish. It’s wise to dress in comfortable layers during training weekends. A water bottle, a pen or pencil, and a notebook are handy. Additionally, anything else you need to be comfortable is welcome: simple snacks, a low-to-the-ground camping-style chair to sit in during lectures.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required at the time of acceptance into the program and registration. The deposit will be applied to tuition. It will not be refunded. Should you choose to terminate your participation in the program, you can receive a full refund (minus the $300 deposit) until 5:00 pm MTN on Monday, October 12, 2020. After that time no refunds will be given.
